I would perhaps (and that is a very questionable "perhaps") enjoy winter more if it could in fact be winter. That is, winter as seen in idealistic photos: deep new snow with the sun shining brightly. Instead, we are plagued with a weekend of snow followed by drizzling rain and melting snow, which turns to ice when the temperature drops at night. As a result, I look like an idiot trying to skate around and find spots that are covered with sand and gravel so that I can safely reach my destination. This photo from an article published Friday the 16th of January in our local newspaper, Laagendalsposten, shows that I am not exaggerating.
And so begins my patient wait for summer...

“It is not happy people who are thankful. It is thankful people who are happy."

While browsing on the Internet I found the above quote that really made me stop and realize how true these words are. Here is another inspiring quote that I like:
"Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings."
― William Arthur Ward
The past week I have been working on making a template for a Facebook cover/profile timeline. It turned out to be more difficult than I expected especially since I found out midway that Facebook had changed the setup in June 2014 so I had to start over from scratch. If you are interested you can download my Photoshop template (.psd file) HERE. You can use this template when using a combined profile/cover look (where the profile image and cover image are integrated with each other) or a separate profile photo. To be honest, I got interested in this because I don't like to use a real photo of myself as my profile photo. I do, however, try to use a profile photo that gives meaning or that the viewer can figure out what they are looking at. :)
